This beautiful Bible printed in 1716 was bound in full calf. The original boards were still fully attached although the leather at the joints was very worn. All corners were in a poor state of repair. The head and tail of the spine were severely damaged.
All the existing leather was retained. New leather was carefully used to replace the missing sections, after which the gold tooling was restored. When completed, the gilding was aged to blend in perfectly with old gold.
